Jen and Dave Take a Well Deserved Rest!
As most of you know Jen and Dave had an action packed few weeks gearing up for the North Carolina Fourth of July Festival. There was so much to do and Jen and Dave attempted to do all of the festival activities along with other events going on around town. While Jen and Dave love being on the go, after the festival they needed a few days to recuperate and relax.
The festival may be over but there is still so much going on this summer! TheEventGuide.com calendar is packed with events: Live music, trivia, charity events, concerts in the park, baseball games, and beach activities just to name a few. Not to mention all of the amazing restaurants Jen and Dave still want to try! There are so many restaurants and shops in TheEventGuide.com’s directory pages and Jen and Dave are planning to visit each and every one!
One event this weekend deserves a special mention:
The Weaver Fire Benefit Concert at Lonerider at Oak Island. As many of you know the Weaver family lost their home on June 4, 2023 and the people of Oak Island have come together to throw a benefit concert to help the family on Sunday, July 16th at 6PM. CMB will be performing and Oak Island’s First Responders will be celebrated. If you would like to learn more about the Weaver family, you can visit and contribute to the GoFundMe page that has been established for the family.
Jen and Dave look forward to seeing all of you around town! To continue Jen and Dave’s short respite, there will not be a post next week-July 20th- the newsletter will still be sent out though.
Also, it looks like Jen is a shoe-in for Employee of The Month for July! (Dave is not thrilled.)
