Jen and Dave Prepare for the 4th of July!
It’s been a very busy week for Jen and Dave, they have been working overtime getting all the 4th of July events on the site and organizing them by town for you, making it easy for everyone to just download our app and see everything that is going on for Southport and Oak Island right in the palm of your hand.
Jen and Dave still had a little time to check out some events going on. On Friday Jen went to the Friday Concert in Middleton Park on Oak Island to see the Tim Clark Band. They played a lot of great hits and they were very energetic.
After the concert in the park Jen and Dave met up at Second Wind to hang out with Double Cherry Pie, they are always a lot of fun! Jen even got to join them for a song and play Wendy’s light up tambourines (check that off her bucket list)! If you haven’t had the chance to see them play, be sure to check them out, they have a great set list with over 300 songs in their repertoire.
Saturday Jen, Dave and Rob went to Wilmington for a friend’s birthday and helped her celebrate on the Brew Boat. Its BYOB and you cruise around for 90 minutes of fun! You can event help the boat go by peddling, but you don’t have to.
That Saturday evening Jen and Rob stopped in at Second Wind to see 52nd Street Band, they had the place packed and people dancing from 9am until 1am! They had some new songs in their set list and some great song “mash-ups” which everyone loved!
Jen and Rob flew to Colorado on Wednesday to visit their son Zack before he leaves on deployment with the Air Force, you won’t see them out and about this weekend, but don’t worry they will be back soon!
This Saturday 6/25 Feebs will be preforming at Second Wind, they are selling reserved tables for 6 people with cocktail service, this is going to be an event you don’t want to miss! Call Wendy at 910-746-9967 to reserve your table before they are all gone!
Like we said, Jen and Dave have been working on getting you all the events for the 4th of July weekend listed on the site. TheEventGuide.com has all the events, even the ones that are not part of the official 4th fest listed so be sure to check the site often or even better, download TheEventGuide app for Apple or Android!
