Jen and Dave Need Your Help
A new year is upon us, we hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year’s Eve. We rang in the new year by going out to eat to a nice dinner at Island Way, Dave then went to a party while Jen took out of town guest to Second Wind to hear The 52nd Street Band.
We would like to start the new year by asking for your help. We are creating a Community Cook Book, and part of the proceeds are going to benefit the Oak Island Water Rescue. Whether you live in Oak Island, Southport or farther away, the Oak Island Water Rescue is a resource that is important to everyone.
Oak Island Water Rescue is a non-profit 20-member volunteer emergency response team that aids swimmers and boaters in distress. They also assist the Oak Island Police Department and Oak Island Fire Department with missing persons and beach transfers, as well as the United States Coast Guard with in-shore Search and Rescue operations.
In order to make this a huge success, we need your help! We need to fill the cookbook with recipes. You don’t have to to live here to submit recipes and you can submit more that one. After we have collected all the recipes we will have to cookbook produced and it will be sold online and locally.
