Jen and Dave Look Forward to the Weekend
Wednesday Jen and Dave went to Southport Coffee Co. & Kitchen to have coffee with a cop. This event was a great opportunity for members of the community to meet and get to talk with our local law enforcement and get to know them on a more personal level. Of course the added bonus of having some great coffee and delicious food didn’t hurt either. Be sure to check TheEventGuide.com for the new Coffee with a Cop event.
The weather has cooled down a little bit just in time for a busy fall weekend filled with a lot of great things to do.
The first big event is that The 52nd Street Band will be leaving Oak Island and heading to Southport to perform at American Fish Co. on Friday from 7pm – 10pm.
The biggest event going on this weekend is the US Open King Mackerel Tournament, starting on Thursday and ending on Saturday. There are lots of events for the tournament, check out the full lineup here.
There are also a lot of fall festivals and craft fairs going on this weekend so be sure to check TheEventGuide.com for the full lineup!
On a personal note Jen and Dave hope you come out to support this important fundraiser in honor of a friend who was taken too soon.
Saturday, October 8th from 3pm-Sunset the Oak Island Elks Lodge is hosting a fundraising event in Honor of Tina Carlton with all proceeds going to the future needs of her children and Hope Harbor Home. There will be BBQ plates for $15, raffle items, live auction, and Jamie Dooley providing beautiful music.
